My Life

My Life

This section is about my life be it real or imagined. I think like everyone, there are aspects of your life you remember because others have remembered them for you. Like stories my grandmother told to my parents or neighbours and years later I am told about them. Now, sometimes I have memory glimpses of my part in those stores. Whether these glimpses have reminded me of what I lived or whether the stories told by others have implanted themselves into my psyche I don’t know. To some extent, these parts are how I have imagined the life that has been lived.

In this area there are also stories that I have told and retold and over the years the stories, I suspect have either become larger than originally experienced or smaller depending on my personal growth and ego. There are some tales that exist in me that no-one in my family can substantiate but I am convinced they are true – at least from my perspective.

There are areas of my life that have been captured in diaries (particularly travel diaries) and they tell a different story of who I was. To look at them feels like they were someone else entirely. Depending upon your point-of-view, some of my actions will seem immoral. What I will say from the outset is that my actions have never meant to intentionally hurt anyone – well without a good reason anyway :).

A large part of my grounding philosophy comes from yin and yang. Meditation in my mid 20s helped settle and focus my energy from the ratbag, angry person I now remember myself being. There are elements of my anger that still remain and these will filter out through the Viewpoints area.

My Real or Imagined life is a kind of memoir and it will be an interest journey into discovering my soul and then embracing it warts and all. Please join me in my journey as I unravel my past in this public space and hope that I don’t get arrested or assassinated in the process. (Dear Me, Universe, God or higher being – I do not wish to have either of these events happen in my life). You’ll get the reason I put this in later.

In here, I will write more fully on my near death experience (NDE), where in Soul Searching I explore why it might have happened and what it means. They might merge – we’ll see. I’m excited!
